Community Standards

Marketplace model. LegalHusk operates an online technology marketplace where Clients and independent Professionals meet, communicate, form direct engagements, and work toward the successful completion of Professional Services. LegalHusk facilitates marketplace access, administrative workflows, communications, records, support, and payment administration through third party providers. LegalHusk does not provide Professional Services, is not a law firm, does not employ or supervise Professionals, is not a party to Client and Professional engagements, and does not guarantee any legal, financial, commercial, or other result.

Community principle. Every person using LegalHusk must act honestly, lawfully, respectfully, and in a manner that protects professional independence, confidentiality, privacy, safety, and marketplace integrity.

1. Purpose and Scope

These Community Standards apply to every visitor, Client, Professional, organization representative, reviewer, and other person who accesses or interacts with LegalHusk. They apply to profiles, inquiries, Orders, messages, files, reviews, support requests, payment activity, and conduct connected with the Platform.

These Standards supplement the Marketplace Terms and Conditions, Acceptable Use and Prohibited Services Policy, Professional Verification and Listing Policy, Review and Rating Policy, Complaints and Administrative Dispute Policy, Privacy Notice, Cookie Policy, and any Engagement Agreement. Mandatory law and the more specific policy govern where they impose a stricter or more specific requirement.

2. Respectful and Nondiscriminatory Conduct

Users must treat others with dignity and communicate professionally. Disagreement about scope, fees, strategy, performance, reviews, or outcomes does not justify abuse.

  • Do not harass, threaten, stalk, intimidate, exploit, dox, shame, or retaliate against another person.
  • Do not use hateful, degrading, sexually abusive, or unlawfully discriminatory language or conduct.
  • Do not pressure a person to reveal privileged, confidential, sealed, or sensitive information.
  • Do not continue unwanted marketing or personal contact after a lawful request to stop.

A Professional may decline or limit a matter for lawful reasons such as conflict, competence, capacity, jurisdiction, professional independence, or a legal restriction. Those decisions must not be based on unlawful discrimination.

3. Authentic Identity, Credentials, and Profiles

Every account and profile must represent a real person or lawfully existing organization that authorized the account. Names, photographs, biographies, reviews, credentials, licenses, education, court admissions, experience, locations, insurance, supervision, and service jurisdictions must be accurate, current, complete, and supportable.

  • Do not create or publish a fictional, synthetic, impersonating, or unauthorized Professional profile.
  • Do not use an artificial intelligence generated identity, photograph, biography, credential, review, or professional history as if it were authentic.
  • Do not use lawyer, attorney, counsel, law firm, specialist, certified, regulated, or an equivalent title unless legally entitled to do so.
  • Do not conceal a suspension, restriction, discipline, loss of insurance, lack of required supervision, or other material change affecting eligibility.

LegalHusk may require identity, credential, jurisdiction, discipline, insurance, business, payment, tax, sanctions, fraud, and public record checks before or after listing. A regulated Professional profile may be withheld, restricted, or removed when material information cannot be independently confirmed. A verification indicator reports selected information checked against specified evidence on a stated date and is not an endorsement or guarantee. Clients should also verify credentials through the relevant official authority before engagement.

4. Authorized Services and Professional Independence

A Professional may offer and perform only services that the Professional is legally authorized and competent to provide for the Client, matter, location, tribunal, and service category involved. A credential in one jurisdiction does not authorize service in every jurisdiction.

A nonlawyer may not give legal advice, select legal strategy, represent a Client, establish an attorney client relationship, or prepare client specific legal documents where doing so would constitute unauthorized practice. Required supervision must be real, current, documented, and disclosed.

LegalHusk provides Platform Services only. LegalHusk support may explain account, Order, payment, complaint, verification, and other administrative processes but may not provide legal advice or direct professional judgment. Professionals must exercise independent judgment and comply with applicable professional duties.

5. Client Responsibilities and Lawful Instructions

Clients must provide truthful, complete, current, and lawfully obtained information. Clients must identify relevant jurisdictions and known deadlines, review scope and fees, monitor deadlines until responsibility is accepted in writing, and have authority to upload and direct the use of all submitted material.

  • Do not request false evidence, fabricated facts, misleading statements, sham transactions, unlawful concealment, or abuse of legal process.
  • Do not ask anyone to alter, destroy, backdate, or mischaracterize a document, signature, message, invoice, filing, review, credential, or record.
  • Do not direct a Professional or nonlawyer to act outside lawful authority or required supervision.

A Client must make the decisions reserved to the Client by law and the Engagement Agreement. A Professional may advise within lawful authority but must not substitute personal objectives for the Client's lawful and informed instructions.

6. Confidentiality, Privilege, and Data Minimization

Users may disclose or upload information only when they have lawful authority and only to the extent reasonably necessary. Before conflicts clearance, a Client should provide only party names, adverse parties, the general matter type, jurisdiction, and urgent dates.

  • Do not place private matter information, legal strategy, settlement details, protected identities, government identifiers, passwords, payment credentials, medical records, child information, or other sensitive data in a public profile or review.
  • Do not publish, use, or disclose another person's privileged, confidential, sealed, restricted, or unlawfully obtained information without authority.
  • Do not assume that an initial inquiry is privileged or that sending information creates an attorney client relationship with LegalHusk.

Professionals remain responsible for confidentiality, privilege, conflicts, secure communications, file handling, and any notice or consent required for tools used in Professional Services. LegalHusk handles Platform data under the Privacy Notice and applicable safeguards.

7. Truthful Content, Evidence, and Responsible Technology Use

All information submitted to LegalHusk must be authentic, relevant, and presented with material context. Users must not fabricate messages, alter screenshots, invent citations, manipulate evidence, create false activity, or omit material context to mislead another person or the Platform.

Automated and artificial intelligence tools must not be used to create fake profiles, reviews, credentials, Orders, evidence, or communications. A Professional using such tools for Professional Services remains responsible for accuracy, confidentiality, privilege, security, bias, citations, supervision, required disclosures, and Client consent. Unreviewed output must not be presented as reliable professional work.

Private matter communications and case files must not be supplied to a general purpose model for training or unrelated use without lawful authority and any required consent. LegalHusk does not use private matter communications or case files to train a general purpose artificial intelligence model without separate explicit consent.

8. Fair Communications and Marketplace Participation

Users must communicate clearly, proportionately, and in good faith. Spam, deceptive promotion, mass solicitation, impersonation, coercion, extortion, retaliation, and collection of contact information for unrelated marketing are prohibited.

Users may communicate directly where law and the Engagement Agreement permit. Nothing in these Standards prevents a Client from ending an engagement, changing counsel, contacting a regulator, seeking independent advice, or exercising a protected right.

9. Payments and Commercial Integrity

Users must use accurate billing and payment information and comply with the Payment Provider's rules. Stolen payment methods, false refunds, false chargebacks, sham Orders, circular payments, hidden beneficial owners, money laundering, sanctions evasion, and manipulation of milestones, invoices, delivery status, or payout conditions are prohibited.

No User may disguise prohibited fee sharing, referral compensation, or outcome based payment as a Platform Fee. A User may not create fake Orders to manufacture ratings or deceptively move an existing Order solely to evade a properly disclosed fee. These restrictions do not limit lawful rights to change Professionals or end an engagement.

10. Reviews, Ratings, and Endorsements

Reviews must reflect a genuine firsthand experience. Users must not buy, sell, fabricate, trade, threaten, suppress, or manipulate reviews. Any permitted incentive must not depend on positive or negative sentiment and must be disclosed where required.

An unfavorable review will not be removed merely because it is critical or disputed. Reviews and responses must protect confidentiality, privacy, safety, and the rights of others. The Review and Rating Policy governs eligibility, moderation, responses, ranking use, and appeals.

11. Safety, Emergencies, and Deadlines

LegalHusk is not an emergency service. A message, inquiry, quote, automated acknowledgement, payment, or support request does not protect a deadline, stop legal process, secure emergency relief, or mean that a Professional accepted a matter.

For imminent danger, contact local emergency services. For an urgent legal deadline or rights issue, contact an authorized local lawyer, court, agency, or other competent authority directly. Responsibility for a deadline begins only when a Professional expressly accepts it in writing.

12. Security and Intellectual Property

Users must protect account credentials, use authorized devices, and report suspected unauthorized access promptly. Malware, ransomware, unauthorized security testing, access control bypass, scraping, data harvesting, interception, account takeover, system overload, and unlawful source code discovery are prohibited.

Users may submit or use content only when they have the required rights. Counterfeit documents, removal of rights notices, misappropriation of another person's work, and use of the Platform to facilitate infringement are prohibited.

13. Reporting a Concern

Report a suspected violation through an available Platform control or by email to [email protected]. Identify the relevant profile, Order, message, review, payment, or content and provide a concise explanation with authentic evidence. Redact sensitive information where possible and do not send passwords or full payment card credentials.

A report to LegalHusk does not preserve a legal deadline and does not replace emergency, court, regulatory, law enforcement, insurance, or professional complaint procedures. Nothing in these Standards prohibits a lawful report to a competent authority.

14. Review of Reports

LegalHusk may use automated signals and human review, verify identity and authority, request information, preserve relevant records, and provide an affected User notice and an opportunity to respond where reasonable and lawful. Immediate safeguards may be used when delay could create safety, unauthorized practice, fraud, confidentiality, payment, security, sanctions, deadline, or regulatory risk.

LegalHusk reviews Platform eligibility and administration. It does not act as a court, bar association, licensing tribunal, malpractice tribunal, or legal expert and does not make binding findings concerning malpractice, legal correctness, privilege, fee reasonableness, or professional discipline.

15. Enforcement

Depending on the circumstances, LegalHusk may warn a User, request correction, limit content visibility, remove content, require renewed verification, restrict features, pause a listing, preserve evidence, pause a payment instruction where permitted, suspend or terminate an account, or report conduct where required or permitted by law.

Measures will consider seriousness, intent, recurrence, evidence, actual or potential harm, cooperation, remediation, professional duties, and legal obligations. A temporary safeguard or Platform decision is not a court or disciplinary finding.

16. Appeals

A User may request review within fourteen calendar days by identifying the decision, a material factual error, new evidence that was not reasonably available, or inconsistent application of these Standards. LegalHusk may keep temporary safeguards in place during review and may affirm, modify, or reverse the decision.

A different reviewer should consider the appeal where reasonably practicable. An appeal does not limit any right to contact a regulator, court, privacy authority, consumer authority, law enforcement body, insurer, or other competent person.

17. Relationship to Other Policies, Changes, and Contact

These Standards are incorporated into the LegalHusk Platform rules and do not replace the Marketplace Terms and Conditions or a Client and Professional Engagement Agreement. The Acceptable Use and Prohibited Services Policy controls detailed prohibited conduct. The Professional Verification and Listing Policy controls profile eligibility. The Review and Rating Policy controls reviews. The Complaints and Administrative Dispute Policy controls Platform complaint administration. The Privacy Notice and Cookie Policy control Personal Data and technology choices.

LegalHusk may update these Standards to reflect changes in law, technology, services, safety risks, or marketplace operations. The revised page will state its effective date, and additional notice will be provided where required.

Questions, reports, and appeal requests may be sent to [email protected]. Do not include unnecessary confidential matter information.
